Fashion month may have ended, but the inspiration behind it is endless. Hundreds of designers presented gowns, jewelry, shoes and even hats that became instantly covetable. Unfortunately, those pieces aren't available until spring 2018, but you can take a cue from the gorgeous beauty trends seen on catwalks now.
As seen at the Stella Jean Spring/Summer 2018 show, MAC makeup artists applied a wash of silver glitter
on models' lids, up toward the brow. To pull off the look, take a tip from the runway by committing to a subtle blush and nude lipstick.
To tone it down for everyday wear, concentrate the glitter on the lower lid and top off the space beneath your brow with a shimmer highlighter.
Pops of Neon
Don't underestimate the power of neon this fall. In small doses, it can make a very chic statement.
For Delpozo's runway show, the team applied a forthcoming NARS eyeshadow. To get a similar look, try the brand's Eyeshadow Duo in Méditerranée
. Forgo a strong brow in favor of a more natural one, and apply a dewy blush on the apples of your cheeks. If your lids aren't neon enough, try one of Suva Hydra's liners
, which come in a range of electric shades.
A cat-eye is flattering on everyone and fashion brands amped up the classic by making it larger than life. At Versus Versace's show, makeup artists used Charlotte Tilbury eyeliner
to create a daring swath of charcoal both on upper lids and below the bottom lash line.
Keep the rest of your makeup simple if you're trying this out at home. Add a dab of dewy highlighter, such as Benefit's Watt's Up! Cream-to-Powder Highlighter
and a matte liquid lipstick in a nude tone that suits your skin.
Sunshine Yellow Eye Shadow
For fall, and choose a bright yellow eyeshadow that's reminiscent of happy, sunny days. We guarantee it will feel surprisingly autumnal when paired with the right outfit.
At Novis' presentation, makeup artists dabbed NARS yellow eyeshadow
up to models' brow bones. Take a cue from the hair too, and pull it back in a low chignon for even more focus on the eyes. You won't need much else — a simple clear lip balm, cult-worthy NARS blush
and warm-toned highlighter
will do the rest of the work for you.
The New Retro Curl
Glam, vintage-inspired curls are back for fall and they've never felt so modern. At Helmut Lang's show, models had a cool, long curl pulled forward from the rest of their hair.
To replicate the aesthetic, choose a curling iron
with an extended barrel to make your spirals big and bouncy. Curl a piece in the front and pin the rest of the hair behind your head.
